I had a great experience working with Joshua on a kitchen cabinet transformation for one of my clients.
Funny enough, I was standing in my client’s kitchen thinking about how much better it would look with updated cupboards when Joshua’s email landed in my inbox. I sent him a few photos and asked for a quote, which came back very quickly.

How much does it cost to have kitchen cabinets painted in Toronto?
Our Coating Package is $4,180 + HST for up to 35 doors and drawer fronts. Which will be 95% of condos and 60% of subdivision houses. Larger kitchens go up incrementally with the number of doors. Generally speaking, subdivision homes and condominiums will range from $4,180 to $4,980 + HST. Larger kitchens range from $4,980 to $6,970 or more + HST.
Is it better to paint cabinets or replace them?
If your layout works and the boxes are sound, recoating costs a fraction of a new kitchen and takes days, not weeks. We recoat the doors in our shop with a factory-grade 2K coating and bring them back. If the doors themselves are worn out, we replace just the doors and drawer fronts and keep the boxes.
Will the finish chip around the handles?
A two-part (2K) coating cures into a hard, cross-linked shell, far tougher than the latex or one-part paints that chip around handles. It is backed by our 20-year no-peel warranty and the Day One Guarantee.
What is the difference between cabinet painting and a factory recoat?
Cabinet coatings are a specialized field. Applying off the shelf paints for trim will damage your cabinet permanently. Cabinet coatings are designed for daily use and look great for years.
We use a multi step process to prepare your cabinets and then apply bonding agents and then top coats all designed for your cabinets. The end result is a factory quality finish, this time with your own custom look.
Can you paint oak cabinets? Will the grain show?
Yes. Oak is a common cabinet material, and it recoats well. The grain texture remains part of the door, under a smooth, even coating. If you want a grain-free look, new slab or shaker doors are the answer, and we offer both.
How long does it take, and can we stay in the house?
Most kitchens take 4 to 6 working days, with 2 or 3 of those in your home. You stay in the house. The doors go to our shop, the boxes are sprayed on site, and your kitchen is usable each evening.
Do I need a permit?
No. Nothing structural, electrical or plumbing changes, so no permit is needed. That is also why there is no demolition and no mess.
Can you recoat thermofoil, laminate or MDF doors?
MDF and most laminate doors recoat well. Thermofoil that is peeling or lifting cannot be saved; in that case we replace the doors and drawer fronts and keep your cabinet boxes.
What does the warranty cover?
Our 20-year no-peel warranty covers the coating against peeling. The Day One Guarantee adds this: any scratch or ding in the first 60 days, no matter how it happened, and we respray it like new at no charge, once, on up to one third of your doors, drawer fronts and side panels. We are fully insured for $2 million and WSIB covered.
